Dr. Hamid Mahmood is working as Consultant Cardiologist at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre. Besides advising patients in OPD, Dr. Hamid Mahmood also carries out procedures in the Cath Lab, such as Angiography, placing Coronary stents, dual chamber pacing, and Pericardiocentesis.
Prior to joining NWGH, Dr. Hamid Mahmood worked and trained as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Cardiology from 2010 till 2018 at East and North Hertfordshire NHS trust where he participated in elective and emergency cardiac services including 24/7 PPCI services. Dr. Hamid Mahmood also managed patients in OPD with a variety of Cardiac conditions including specialised AF Clinics.
Dr. Hamid Mahmood completed his MBBS from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar in 2003. After completing his House Job at Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar, Dr. Hamid moved to Sheikh Zayed PGMI Lahore for training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Dr. Hamid then moved to the UK where he attained his MRCP from London, in 2012.
Dr. Hamid Mahmood is a member of multiple international Cardiac societies. In addition, Dr. Hamid has great interest in research, being involved in multiple studies as a sub-investigator, and has published internationally. Dr. Hamid has presented in more than 10 conferences and has presented posters as well.
